I was born in Sydney and raised in a wonderful loving,
caring and social environment. My father was a Kamilaroi
man from Inverell NSW, my mother from Gippsland Victoria.
I have been blessed with 3 wonderful children and 5
grandchildren and they play a big part in my life. We
enjoy many get to-gethers as the miles apart allow us.
After completing my schooling in Sydney I ventured
into the working world and gained employment in positions
relating to Accountancy. I found this type of work both
challenging and rewarding.
In the eighties I moved with my family to Maclean NSW.
I attended TAFE to learn how to operate a computer and
from there I changed my employment directions into the
fields of Customer and Library Service Consultancy.
These new skills gave me the opportunity to travel Australia
and work in various Universities.
I relocated to Coffs Harbour in 2005 and enjoy the
seaside and social environment.
I joined CHAFCCC in May 2006 as Receptionist/Administration
Assistant. In my role I cover the areas of Reception,
Telephonist, Administration Assistant, distribution
of CHAFCCC Information, Resources, Emergency information/relief
and the scheduling of Meeting Room Hire. My position
allows me the opportunity to inform the Aboriginal community
and visitors of the services that the organisation delivers.
I have meet many interesting people and enjoy the interaction
with the local Aboriginal community. |
