Special Projects Officer/Consultant with the commonwealth department of Office of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Tasmania and Victoria.

I believe Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in particular should always be consulted to maximise community input in developing the workplace this will ensure, recognise and respect the social context in which Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people live their lives.

Often threshold decisions are made without these discussions which tends to alienate communities. It is preferable to be honest and up front from the outset.
